It's been a minute

I didn't realize how long it had been since I've made a blog post. Time seems to moving quickly this year. Somehow it is almost May when it feels like it should still be February.

I've been lucky to contribute to a few great pieces this year thus far. Here are some of my favorites....

Ps. We got a dog (Ruby) and I will be including a photo in this post. You're welcome.

Claudia McGinnis poses for a portrait at her home in Fishers, Ind. on Friday, March 8, 2019. After McGinnis underwent a double lung transplant in 2008, she developed an intolerance to one of her anti-rejection drugs. Doctors prescribed Sirolimus to replace it, but the retiree’s Medicare Part D plan will not pay for the drug. She appealed but was rejected and cannot afford to pay $450 monthly. Without Sirolimus, she risks dying if her body were to reject her lungs. (Leah Klafczynski/New York Times)

“I hope I don’t go into chronic rejection,” she said. “You can’t cure chronic rejection. You die.”

I spent some time with Notre Dame women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw on Selection Monday. Muffet, who is in her 31st season coaching, is a figurehead of women's basketball. She has led her team to 8 Final Fours, and won the National Championship in 2001 and 2018. (Leah Klafczynski/for ESPN)

Butler fans illuminated by a stream of light during a game at Hinkle Fieldhouse on January, 5, 2019. (Leah Klafczynski for IndyStar)

Mac McClung of Georgetown on January 2, 2019.

IHSAA state swimming finals for IndyStar on February 23, 2019.

Lastly, some photos of St. Elmo's famous steak house during the 2019 NFL Combine for ESPN.

and last but not least, meet Ruby the beabull (Beage/Bulldog)
